Rectangular spring (oval coil)

A rectangular spring has a rounded-rectangle coil (width W × height H) instead of a circle — ideal when the space is narrow on one axis and wide on the other: rails, latches, connectors and compact mechanisms.

Set width, height, wire diameter, free length and coil count; the tool computes the rate (effective mean diameter) and the max safe load, governed by the larger side.
