Wind direction

Category: Ends & configuration

The direction the wire is coiled: right-hand (RH) or left-hand (LH).

It is crucial in applications with rotational forces or nested springs (one inside another), which must have opposite hands so they don't bind. In torsion springs, the hand sets which way the spring should be loaded.
