Angular rate

Category: Forces & performance

The torque required to rotate a torsion spring by one degree (N·mm/°) — the spring's angular stiffness.

It is the torsion-spring equivalent of the spring rate. It depends on the material's elastic modulus, the wire diameter, the mean diameter and the number of coils.
